Trauma
If trauma—whether recent or long past—is still shaping your thoughts, relationships, sleep, or sense of purpose, you’re not weak. You’re carrying something that was never meant to be carried alone. My work is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families release the weight of trauma and reclaim their lives with strength, clarity, and direction.
I specialize in working with men, veterans, first responders, and those who love them—people who are used to pushing through, staying in control, and putting others first. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck in anger, shame, hypervigilance, addiction, emotional shutdown, or distance in their relationships. Others are wrestling with moral injury, spiritual crises, burnout, or a deep exhaustion they can’t shake. Together, we work to understand how trauma has shaped your nervous system, beliefs, and behaviors—and how to change that pattern.
With more than 25 years of experience in trauma care, including service as an Army Flight Medic and work as a VA Trauma Counselor, I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding into the therapy room. My approach is practical, direct, and deeply respectful. I believe in doing meaningful, in-depth work while also equipping you with tools you can use immediately in daily life.
I integrate evidence-based trauma treatments such as Restoring Self-Cohesion (RSC), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches to support healing at both the cognitive and physiological levels. Therapy with me is not about reliving the past—it’s about learning how to live fully in the present without being controlled by what happened before.
Whether trauma has impacted your mood, sleep, relationships, faith, or sense of identity, healing is possible. You don’t have to keep surviving in silence. Together, we can build a life that feels grounded, connected, and meaningful—one where you’re no longer defined by pain, but by purpose.
