Practicum Counselor
Hi, I’m Jenna! I am a Master’s level practicum student at Dallas Baptist University. My goal is to walk alongside you through life’s many challenges and create a space where you feel truly known. With both professional and personal experience, I am passionate about assisting those experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, and OCD, among other mental health struggles. I enjoy using parts work found in IFS and RSC, and I strive for all my counseling to be trauma-informed, allowing you to feel safe while you heal from hurt and discover the calling the Lord has placed on your life.
When I am not in the counseling room, I can be found spending time with my husband, playing the French horn in the church orchestra, tending to my collection of houseplants, going out for coffee, or discovering a new national park to explore.
I believe God has led you here, and I would be honored to guide and support you on your healing journey.
My areas of focus:
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder, particularly religious OCD
- Anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation
- Low self-esteem, bullying, difficult peer relationships
- Grief, breakups, other losses
